White Petals White petals range upon the green The nettles of a changing scene Brings to mind a poem in rhyme To find the ear of I, in time Melancholia sweeps the tide This living moment of abide And all my passions rush in steer Within a blush if instant clear How can one let past slip bye Without a tear or weight of sigh And how in care can we dismiss The living of that moment’s bliss My psyche lies in fates esprit Based beneath an apple tree With red in sight that pauses breath The bite of which will cause my death. It’s be or not to be, the theme To test the true or rest the dream |

"How can one let past slip bye Without a tear or weight of sigh And how in care can we dismiss The living of that moment’s bliss" Ohhhhhh, dear Sy ... I loved the play on "bye/by" in the verse above, and enjoyed the entire sentiments captured in this poem. This is a wonderfully reflective piece. Such a pondering you've brought to mind for me as well this morning, with the lovely poetic style and cadence you pen, that I admire so. Best wishes and hugs, /Kit |
