Forever In Your Heart

Tell me ...
why does the rain follow me
into the blackest shades of night?

It is as if...
the rain knows I am weeping,
tears rapidly falling,
blinding my sight,

Tell me...
why the wind speaks my name?
Whispering through the
willow trees,

It is as if...
the wind knows I am lonely,
whispering words softly,
you are here with me,

The night owls are perched,
sitting in the top of the pine trees,
as if...they are angels,
watching, protecting, guarding,
by you, they were sent to me,

Twinkleing stars light the heavens,
winking,
as if...to say hello,
they remind me of your eyes,
blue, full of love, they show,

As I lay my head down,
for a night of rest,
alone in body,
inside this wilderness,

I find, I am not so alone,
for wherever I am,
you are there,
inside my heart as one,

Feeling you near,
all of my fears are erased,
as night becomes not so black, but blue,
underneath the patchwork of clouds,

I begin to close my eyes,
Feeling your presence over me,
covering me, being my security,
The sky is you...

As I lay underneath,
your big velvet blanket of blue...

Open your eyes, open your mind, open your heart, let me come in and show you love.....~ARH
