I'd rather wave then say good-bye stand down wind, avert my eyes obscure the truth like hazy days become an actress in his play I'd rather wave then say hello than be appraised from head to toe or scrutinized beyond my mind pretend in fact that I am blind I'd rather smile than shed one tear hold at bay the storm this year search for treasures 'mid these fears walk away than have him near A message to my love, message to my love to whom do you sing your songs for now? it doesn't matter anyhow it never did, it never will my heart is numb and cannot feel I'd rather under pretense, go disappear than let you know just how much I loved you so this broken heart so full of woe I'd rather to never have known you at all ignored your presence, nor answered your call or gained a glimpse of the sweetness inside before ambiguity became your guide A message to my love message to my love to whom do you sing your songs for now? it doesn't matter anyhow it never did, it never will oh how I wish I could not feel... ~tier 4/04 |
