''Show mankind the two ways'', Zeus ordered Prometheus. Bowing to the greater God, he set to his task. The first way was freedom. The second way slavery. Freedom was rough at the start, steep and impassable. Danger lay at every turn, brambles, drought and thirst. Soon however, the way was lined with groves of fruit trees. Smooth plains and waterways were everywhere in sight. For those who bathe in the air of freedom, quiet repose awaits. Starting as a smooth plain was slavery. Flowers of luxuriant colours, delighting sight and scent. At the end, steep, impassable, insurmountable. ''There is no need for temples, no need for complicated Philosophies. My brain and my heart are my temples; my philosophy is kindness''- Dalai Lama |
