Of all the places in the world A bee could stick, it stuck on me. For just a sec to scratch my head, I lifted cap to wipe the sweat And my bald-spot was his to see. * Glistening with perspiration, Shining skin, an ugly flower; Yet zeroed in the hornet-bee Like it were earth and he, A falling drop of April shower. * Landing square without a skid, It sent its venom-message, clear Ouch! I answered to his pinch And though I swatted him to death, It was to late to save my pate.. For his tail still quivered-centered, In a ring of swelling red; On top of my bald head. |

Ouch, indeed! And it's good that you take it with a certain humour! But you see, there always good sides to every medal, at least it produced a lovely poem! Love, Margherita |

Thank you all for the comments The poem is written to be funny, even if the topic is not...I am glad that all of you got a little chuckle out of this one.... btw The sting is better now, I will be more cautious in the future when I take off my hat.. Again, thanks for the replies -------ice ><> |
