The clouds are drifting Along the way The wind is lifting Along the way A song of youth enters me And then must be whistled out, Just a simple melody From long ago to go Along the way Rocks under my feet Along the way The bird singing greets Along the way I walk on grassy meadow Barefoot my sandals in hand Till comes the shadows Of afternoon moving Along the way Sleeping beside trees Along the way Old coat warms the breeze Along the way. *smile* Feels like the summer sun on my bare skin. "cast me gently into the morning, for the night has been unkind" |
