Shhhhhhhhhhhhh...... listen..........do you hear...... There it is again.... thump thump.....thump thump louder, louder, louder as you get nearer....nearer....nearer..... Is it going to beat out of my chest..... Now it's racing like crazy in expectancy of your kiss your touch, your voice..... Oh, what you do to my heart!!!! |

I've always been skeptical of using HTML tags in one's poetry, but to be entirely honest, I think you may have very well shown me the way that they can be appropriate. They lifted the tone of your poem to a delightful feather-weight, and it tickled me quite a bit. If you write with your heart, then your heart must be very special--- Take care, Brian |

Had to come back in here because of the title...once wrote something very different from yours, for the daughter of a friend which used "Shhhhhh" extensively...gonna subject you to it ... HA! Idle Talk Creeping, crawling, through the grass, …shhhhh, should I ask, “May I pass?” …welllll it is polite, but before you ring, …shhhhh, I ask again, “What’s that thing?” It has eight legs, and great big eyes, a soft round body, with fur on the sides. Maybe it can hear us talking, …shhhhh, maybe we would just keep walking, …hmmmmm, if we did, what would it do, …shhhhh, maybe it bites, and turns you blue! It runs around with uncanny grace, and it can move, at such a fast pace. Maybe we should leave it alone, …shhhhh, maybe we should go back home, …welllll, still I wonder if it would, …shhhhh, let’s just go, and leave it for good. Gee, now we’ll never know, if it would have let us go, but if it did, maybe then, it would have asked to be our friend! jwesley |
