Sadness Follows Despair

As the sadness drags on
Heart aches still persist
I am choking back tears
My gut continues to twist

I kept my sadness secret
No one need ever know
Aching happens silently
I'm alone when tears flow

Sadness follows despair
Spiralling into the dark
Glow fades into oblivion
Downhearted loses spark

My pain was felt internally
As you ripped me apart
Scarred by your rejection
Descends my broken heart

Oh yes, I do feel the pain of this, and know of the sadness. It seems that rejection is the weapon used to cause that kind of pain, and it's usually the ones we love most that hold that power in their hands. Love shouldn't make us so vulnerable, but it does...always appreciate your writing....~S~

I have felt this kind of sadness before, too.
It doesn't feel good to feel all alone.
