There is nothing left to do

but fight beside the dead

with beating chests,

Lending the sound of heart

for them to pace their fists

between near misses,

They always miss

but I still feel them

And there is no shelter left

but among theives

with no vision,

For warmth and grey

is so inviting

to every hour spent

inside the cold red battle of blood

behind that broken blue,

You are the colour of my skin
