In my sterile world
of concrete and landscaping
  the taming of my land
I long to shake my mane
and run and leap in the meadows
to chew a wildflower and chase a dog
    to snort at an enemy
and drive it away with wild hooves

I could dance in the wind
and call all my friends
with my gentle call
  and they would surround me

Is this what freedom is?

I could live like this

For a moment there, I felt like a wild filly!  Loved this -- and yes, maybe that is the feeling!  Just wait until Midnitesun reads this one!   .......jo

iF FREEDOM DIES...
everything will die
or one kind of thing that doesn't need freedom will be the only thing left

You know ... I at times do feel this free, when standing on the mountain with no one around but the wildlife, etc.  Once I screamed up there, "I am free!" and how fortunate I feel to live in a country I am that, and can scream it.  I absolutely loved this.

Thank you Mysteria - We are so fortunate to have the freedom we do, and yet I long for more - just to be myself
