Dear, I take no pleasure,
In telling you goodbye.
I’ll probably make you angry,
I don’t wish to make you cry.

I really hate to hurt you-
But if I wait till later on…
The pain will be much greater,
So it’s better that I’m gone.

I guess that I was dreaming,
To think we had a chance.
It’s far too late in life for me-
To dabble in romance.

I wish you only happiness-
I cannot live a lie,
So all that I can rightly do,
Is write a sad goodbye.

Each time I hear your voice, dear
My heart speeds up its beat.
And every thing within me,
Is screaming out…”Retreat!

You dare not let her love you-
You dare not lead her on.”
So farewell, little darling…
I must go on alone.

No, no! Too tragic. Fear not the joy of belonging with another should the chance be given.

Please don't leave her...

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back

No my dear Gunslinger! Don't be afraid to love. Please don't ride off into the sunset alone. Just take it slow and see what happens. Best of luck, and good write.
hugs, Chris

Hey fellow gunslinger.  Quit shooting blanks.  Don't be afraid to give her some "hot loads" (reloader jargin).  Let her have a chance and see what she can handle.  Maybe she's up to what you really need.  Alone-ville is a pretty tough town.  Oh yeah, for what it is (heartwrenching) it is a great write full of emotion.  Very well written, but then again I haven't read anything from you that I didn't think was great.

Live on love.

Kevin
