So who saw the sky grow dim Who saw the fix we are in Clouds sailed off into minds Watchers asked for words To say but maybe to hear Why was flying around our heads Dread fell under and did spin a web So what were we looking for this day What led us to this fray Did lightning sing a crackly song I loved and didn’t last so long A voice called innocence Yelled into the night No one got anything right No one cared that they were lost Love suffered from a frost But life called innocence to come To see the things that set us free Don’t leave the fray Don’t stop the fight Come with me and let’s Find what is right… |

Paul "Why was flying around our heads" It flies around in my head too, and I can't tell you the answers, but I do know that it's always good to question. Another wonderful pondering poem! |

Enjoyed this. I too was struck by the line about "why". Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |

Excellent write with much to ponder as usual Paul. I enjoy the way you do that...leave us with something to think about. Hugs~ Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that. |

"Love suffered from a frost" ~ That line really hit an old nerve! Very effective in eliciting an emotion that I had buried. I actually shivered when I read that line! Warm hugs, Linda |
