Somewhere in beginning there must have been a plan
A formula; a blueprint; of woman and of man
With basic waves of thinking, embedded and alive
To guide us through each moment and to help us all survive

At times we think we’re different, but not in basic rule
The same thoughts come to test each one and test us for a fool
We all need a family and some love to get us through
We all share the same odd thoughts, to find they’re nothing new

We are all related within the human race
Joined by our creator for the future years to face
All varying in some ways, but just the same in most
We start at the beginning and then finish at the post

With simple understanding that we’re born to one-day die
And as we all grow older just how quick the years all fly
But through it we all ponder with the hope of love to hold
To keep us holding life long dreams, until we’re very old

We all surround this planet but we’re basically the same
We look a little different and might bare a different name
Born to give a little and work within a plan
Our blueprint of the future, is by woman and of man

Beyond your wonderfully rhythmic and flowing rhyme scheme, I loved your message in this piece Rick. You've captured this beautifully, from title to last line. Well done, very much enjoyed.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Each and every word of this was so true, and yet, this part jumped out at me, for me, perhaps...

We are all related within the human race
Joined by our creator for the future years to face
All varying in some ways, but just the same in most
We start at the beginning and then finish at the post

Fabulous writing Rick, always a joyous and exciting experience reading you.
