standing on a shadow's lace

the forest And the trees

I have been places I
never wanted to go
and stood peering from
the edge of the forest in
the thick of leaves and limb
dreaming silent oak dreams
that may never come true
a standing complication
wondering if maybe one day
a seed might be watered
by my stream of tears

Yes, we always have hope, my friend.  One of the few things that cannot be denied or stripped from us.  Keep steady, always focused and diligent in your endeavors.  Your tears shall beget the greatest, mightiest oak of all.  Best wishes to you, that you may find your way through the thickets to look back and find your oak towering above the rest in principled victory.  This is a piece of work that I can relate to with all of my being.

Your poetic friend,

Kevin

Garden my flowers with tears
Blooms that transform your fears
Comforting in transition
Recolor the dripped emotion
Look through the flower bed
The mixture of long ago shed
Growing more lovely with the year
Adding triumphs and elations
Beyond where the watering led

One should never stand around wondering too long, you may end up being rooted to the spot.

Helen,
Thought provoking indeed. Nicely done. Peace.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
