In The Absence Of A Friend

I had sensed the change
Its not like it used to be
What are they avoiding
By being distant with me

What was silence saying
That I no longer belong
Having noticed the void
I wonder what was wrong

I try to pick up the threads
That were drifting apart
Needing to fill the space
That I can feel in my heart

In between conversations
Awaiting silence to end
Missing those fun times
In the absence of a friend

~ This shows your sensitivity and sensitive people tend to be considerate of other's feelings ~ so the chance of you having done something to upset your friend is minimal. Therefore, in my humble opinion, it may likely be something that your friend may be going in his or her life and completely unrelated to you. Their unhappiness touches those around them and who truly do care.

If your friend offers no explanation, then just give them the space and time they may need to get over whatever it is that may be bothering them.

You are a tender, loving soul and deserve to be treated as such.
