The Messenger For Jacob Rushed into a ravaged world fleeing the blood red moon to sew the healing seeds of innocence upon humanities wound. He lends grace and resounding hope to many mired in fear as he looks upon his father's face and tenders solace clear. Precious eyes of innocence breech his father's wall to keep watch upon his calloused soul and catch him should he fall. His gentle touch and healing hands shall lift us from despair and return us to our Father's place if we let him guide us there. Sleep finds him always, never fearing reality's sword, for Angels guide him to the fountain where peaceful dreams are stored. He wears their message proudly as a banner on his breast as I bend my ear to hear his coos and cradle him to my chest. They bid him relay His message through gentle coos and cries that the Father has sent His miracle child from Heaven's gracious skies. Lend not your soul to reckless ways of yonder years passed by. Never the miracle of child birth nor faith in Him deny. For as quickly as he's filled our hearts and calmed this family's toil, he may be swept away by midnight's tide and returned to his Father's soil. Rest in the eyes of children. Take their gentle hands in yours. Let them guide you down this garden path beyond His golden doors. Copyright, Kevin V. Reese, 2004 |

Is father in S2L2 supposed to be father's. I remember my Christain days pretty well. And, I remember holding thought processes like this pretty dear. Funny how things change. Hopefully I'm progressing and not just straying. - lol - But, that's always a matter of perspective. Interesting write. If you were aiming for a consistent meter, it could probably be brushed up a little. It looks like you're aiming for a heptameter throughout, but I see there are some hexameters and even octameters mixed in. - |
