the air around us is so still
you could hear a pin drop
you're looking at me like you have something to say
your eyes speak volumes
so your mouth doesn't have to move
and say the words i know you'll never mean
stopping yourself just short of regret
do we have to speak at all?
wouldn't it be better if we just kept quiet,
so the world can't even hear us breathing.

you're trying to look at me
trying to see who i am
you don't need to know me
there's nothing there worth knowing
an empty shell of a women
longing to be more than she is
trying to be something
but something can never come from nothing.

the soundtrack of our lives,
is playing in the backround
empty words
sung to an empty tune
trying to help us find the meaning
to that which we'll never know
we're not supposed to..

wouldn't it be better it we just kept quiet,
so the world can't even hear us breathing..

do you even know i'm here?..

You write with such a depth of pain and longing.  Please, you are more than a shell, you have the potential of a goddess in the making, remember that.

Your poem was so incredibly moving.  How could one be of nothing that writes so incredibly richly?  Your work is amazing.  You are most intelligent, gifted, and compassionate.  All traits of one cherished and valuable.

Your poetic friend,

Cheer up. I am sure you are more than what you think you are worth.

The beauty of nature is displayed,
not through itself,
but through the creatures
dwelling within its bosom.
