Yep, we'd better keep our wits about us. The cold wind is a blowin'. Enjoyed. ...jo |

I'm not sure if this is haiku or senryu. The middle line could be a seasonal, as well as satirical reference. Makes me think of my cross-country trip made a few years ago to Colorado in late December, over the Xmas season. What an amazing thing to drive behind a plow at 14k feet with 20 ft walls of ice rising straight up on either of the road. Made me kind of claustriphobic. Never mind coming into Steamboat Springs at around 4:30AM only to discover the entire place was alive with giant yellow machines that were plowing the town clear. I thought my Geo Metro might be mistaken as an escaping small block of ice and plowed off the road by mistake. Woo, talk about "cold awareness on the road". - |
