I found a light-brown leaf that had its edges folded inwards On hindsight, I guess most people would have associated it with a quill But I saw a sealed filter funnel in my hands, a funnel that had dark holes on its sides A mockery of my life, it seemed, as it signified my feeble attempts to store-trap favorable memories A wry smile to myself, I congratulated myself on my distinctive mind frame that allowed me to see something unapparent to other eyes The silver lining of being melancholy [This message has been edited by kaile (06-18-2004 08:47 AM).] |
