Uniformed As my thoughts heat up I am subdued by the humidity, constrained only by the silence that absorbs my disposition. Every breath is heard, my manner in retreat, as nothing is gained from worrying and isolation is the only way to detach myself from reality. I wear truth today, fatigues of blue, knowing that tomorrow there will be more of the same, the same, the same... Dear Maureen, Sometimes isolation is forced upon us in order for us to gain perhaps a deeper understanding of ourselves and to grow in the knowledge and acceptance of our own worth. We can never stop learning and although things and our environments may appear to be "the same" every day, they aren't really if we look a little deeper like in the garden perhaps. I think it's a question of focus - inward is good and serves a purpose but too looking outward can bring back within additional benefits. Sorry, this "ain't" a lecture but it's just that I've been where you are and know how hard it is to get to the point of acceptance. Sometimes background props make the difference between ordinary and extraordinary productions. Take care of you and whatever follows - no matter what follows - you'll be able to handle it! |
