love,
how I admire your strength
loaded down so with many burdens
you shelter me, remain my shield
in the face of adversity

please, take these hands

shed light on your tears
for these shoulders too bear
the weight of your sadness
let us walk this narrow
path together
confident that we shall
find a smile or two along
the way...
