beyond the distorted faces
we will find a hillside
overgrown

what little we know of happiness
what little we know of love
what little we know of truth:
will loom much larger
there

you were hidden amidst
a song
a lullaby
a victory cry:
"this barrage of rain
  will not barricade us
within our warring hearts."

for a write that seems to be a bit melancholic, you seemed to have woven a small strand of hope thoughout it...read it several times...nice job...enjoyed...

A very interesting write, I'm wondering what sparked this one. Thanks for sharing it!
