Memories

Vincent yellow
    splashed alongside Renoir blue

against my will I still think of you

when lavender blooms itself full,
when the wysteria screams springtime
and the dog days of summer sweat the soul
along the bayous and sinkholes.

But you don’t ever think of me, do you?

Some folks we just can't forget.  Lots of us share your thoughts here.  Well done.  KJ

Funny how we find sweet rememberance in the weirdest places ....

... like when we are sweating like a dog!

He might sometimes think of you...but I know he painted just for me.

Sigh... I'm lost in the art and emotion of this.  Feel better, midnitesun.

Very true about the "longer footprint" my friend. I think I even have a few gouges, but hey, even they finally scabbed over - and yeah, always will be a depression there.

Good write.
