Single woman presses an elevator door shut suddenly two men hop in, she's now in a rut; as she asks what floor would they'd like to reach they add the same number some mothers teach: "Never talk to strangers", they usually say, that way they'll usually stay far away, but she decided to embark on a hotel lift strangers to your floor is no welcome gift... Late nights when efficient management often fails ambulance cruiser sirens launch their wails a single person faces her own vulnerability in the empty shafted world of anonymity. She embarks onto the floor, leads the fray couldn't the two just turn another way; down a corridor, not a soul in sight pray they're not interested in you tonight. A key slips into a lock, a door opens, she enters with guarded stealth slips inside, eases the door shut, and takes a long deep breath; those two continued onto a room of their own hotel hosts guests, supposedly no gnomes. © Copyright 2004 ecrivan [This message has been edited by wordwizard (06-05-2004 12:58 PM).] |

I guess I'm immune to scares like that since I'm usually the one that escorts the lady up to her room with a badge and 357 |
