The Dance of Love Is this the love that burns as words will burn Within each heart; for love so grown will seal The heart in flame and will the same return; And being sealed, it reaches to reveal The dancer hidden in the shade of mask; For in his hand her hand was given life And in his words the life of love was task; His words that danced with joy on edge of knife. But the lovers’ music stopped, and await The dancers for new song to now begin; May sweeter song yet sing and charge the gate Into the hearts had grown distant within: For in this dance each song is new and pure And holds the premise of the lovers’ cure.
