Hum-Drum I wake up alone and sad, Going through my daily motions And my internal emotions, Swirling and twirling like a clown painted performer, Putting on a fake smile While on the inside I cry; I take comfort in my night-time sip of cognac And sleep off my playful demons But in the morning they return, Dancing joyfully in my tears. Loneliness can be deceptive in it's rituals and futility... You wrote those emotions well...and in the fabric is something that sparks itself to life and change occurs, sometimes without consent...and the grass grows green again. TD |
