What Can I Say

This pain rises from inside
penetrating my outer levels
my eyes squinting
as I see the far away so near
and it is clear to me now
that I am substituting my anguish
over what I cannot control.

The time is nearer and I can't still
its effect nor hold back the affection for her
without it showing in a hug
that barely touches for fear
of these next few days.

She mouths her thoughts that won't
come through her lips,
stalling for time, as if it needs
another moment to reach out and be heard.

I am between heartache and tears
painfully feeling it
in the pit of my stomach this evening,
the drive home seeming endless.

I caught my reflection in the mirror
realizing how much we look alike
and how the face can age in times
of sorrow...

M

M,
Well now dear friend, you write it so well that you make my heart ache. Peace.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Your reflection is ever so caring and gentle and always so full of love.
And there's no substitute for that Maur!!!

Sending hugs, and many prayers your way, girl friend~

I truely wish there was something I could do..but I know from experience there is nothing.

Be as well as you can and hold her love and life close to you.

M,

I felt this truly...this was so
beautiful. Your words never cease
to amaze...to both you and your sister
my friend!
Take care,

once again nicely done

Can you hear my cries, can you hear my pleads, will you watch me burn...or would you bleed for me?

I really am at a loss for words right now..

I thank each of you. I know that these next few days will be the worst, as I spent the last 2 days with my sister because she has begun to lose her thoughts and her ability to hold onto things and be steady. She told me she doesn't think she will make it past the weekend...

what does one say to that...
