I stared through empty shadows, windows dusky dark with age; fleeting images, stark bubbled memories swelled within my brain screaming, "Hey, come here you schmuck, come watch and feel, your past is still alive," but like flying cheap glass ornaments, falling from a leaking sky, they dashed themselves on mindless rocks, where reality mocks the hopelessly optimistic; no more could they enlighten me, no more could they survive. ©2004 by icebox |

no more could they enlighten me, no more could they survive. I've heard that (and I paraphrase) called a spiritual death and I've heard we go through several before we're done. Dark, but not. Sad but not. ![]() |

Is there karma, really? There's Joss, I know that, because I've had both kinds. But it seems to me that karma is mainly a matter of choice. |
