So like the fruits of blessed spring Of thee cloud bursts that love may bring To shower down a whimsy way Surround my steps a flutter May By now the sounds are echoes past And yet return each smile cast The smooth of simple but a leaf Before my breath pursed puff and brief Yet still, of every tuck away Along the sleek of you to play And know that ne’er a time could take These visions bold will not forsake And ne’er alone to face the space Containing lipid loves soft grace A precious part held dear my heart In petals fall but beats apart So like the drizzled morning rise Upon my skin your brightest eyes A song that keeps good company Aflutter through each part of me Copyright Kkh 5/26/04 |
