I use to sit and wonder
About life and all the pain
Not knowing which way to run
In the sunshine or the rain
The mountains seemed so endless
The oceans were very deep
Not knowing which way to run
In the shadows I did weep
The sun was never warm
Stars never shined bright
Not knowing which way to run
When nothing was in my sight
I only needed your warmth
During the cold winter days
But you knew which way to run
Opposite of my way

A friend, like a candle, is most needed in the darkness.

Oh my, the ending was unexpected.  Don't know whether to laugh or cry.  Enjoyed.
