Second Coming
*
investigating in the yard
he stoops and strokes the new grass
he fingers the pebbles and the trees
and laughs at passing bumble bees
*
his second spring, its all so new
he's less than 2 foot tall
running to see and smell and touch
a thrill of discovery and all
*
the wind in his hair
the sun on his face
the lawn is his Eden,
magical place
*
past 44 winters and springs--
Surprise
seeing life fresh
through a child's eyes!
*

Oh, how Wonderful!  A child's perspective does add a whole new way of looking at the world, doesn't it?  Loved this!
