we are weak from love for it tears and it twists and it tricks and it turns me against you you against me us against them them against us are we driving on sunday roads? artless souls are meandering through summer's back alleys with their gold tinged leaves and their whispered breaths and the distinction between shadows and darkness in a dream you are there with water flowing from your fingertips am i thirsting for your touch? a set of emerald eyes watches from afar: a house built on music falling fast at its foundation are we weak in our solitude? does it rip does it ravage does it ruin does it recall a time when bare feet could dance upon heated pavement? |
