                                 “Sadie, my gal...
                             your poetry leaks feelings...

I have a bit more understanding now...
go for the real of it...
                             go for the feel
                              of it

                                 don't pull any punches, y'hear?”

                                                               (Sunshine's Response to "Memory Marks")

OK SUNSHINE, for you:

leak or drown
piano keys ups and downs
waiting
waiting for the time and sound.

When it came,
the surprise was me
I sent him go,
I loved him so.

        (No real reason other
          than he held my heart
             Too tightly.)

                                Hard worker but
                                not at me
                                Loved me back
                                Thought I wouldn’t mind
playing second fiddle to his time.

                                        Mistaken.

                               Four years down the road,
                              Got a letter:
                              “remember nothing but good times...
                                again I'd
                               like to see you."

Leak or drown
Piano key ups and downs
while awaiting his
Arrival.
Late. Habitually late
Or cancel.

Passion  there
But he worked too hard
At everything
Except
Me.
My soul I had to keep.

I sent him go.
Left a hole
Could not be filled
Neither
could it be emptied

  I sent him go,

Ratleader,
You're as bad as Sunshine!  Do you know how many years ago this took place?  It's been bottled up for three decades!

no MORE, MORE, MORE   I'm drained...

  Thanks for your support.

muted,
Holding them in for thirty years-brave?  Don't think so.  I wish I would have had PIP
back then.   I might have gotten those feelings out.   I'm so glad this exist for others today.

Hmmmm, purging demons after years.  Might have to give it a try.  This was an excellent write.  And yes, thank Heaven for PIP Talk and the understanding of those of like heart.  Thanks for sharing.

Writing of the soul sometimes does drain
from us...yet, in the end....our strength
is greater,  our resolve unwavering...

Well done Sadie.

Oh my...
I hope I somehow
inspire more...

seems like this one
let the air out of the bag...
once or twice, even.

Oh...my...

That's one I've heard before....didn't believe it then either, and sure enough.....

Thanks All for your your responses.  As for writing more about this, probably not for a while.  That creeps up on me less and less... Though it was a tough decision, good things have come.  I'm very fortunate to have the life I have.

Boy am I glad for Sunshine!!
You don't have to do MORE MORE MORE about this.. just as long as you have more about something and fast! I was out a few days and need to go back and read what I missed still, but when I catch up? there'd better be a new poem or two waiting for me!
You write with the depth and detail to leave the reader in full knowledge of everything, but with just the right amount of wonder and question. Perfect!
Did I mention I like it?... err, I do

Always, Alyssa
