Cool is the color of first blush of dawn, With songbirds a singing on a dew laden lawn, Whispers of breezes call out to those sleeping, Awaken my children, as new day is creeping From ocean to seashore; high mountain to valley, Sun’s rainbowed eruption in night’s grand finale. Shadows are fleeing before morning’s come, Ceding to Helios in diurnal succumb. I rise in my chambers, cross to window’s pane, To drink of the dawning, heav’ns glorious refrain. |
