Take a Ride Take a soar across your time Skate on metaphors magic rhyme Life is laid in tracts of thought Yours is made of what you wrought It makes no difference what you are Your egos reference bends the spar The wind and air will paint your heart The sail and dare will taint the art Your visual is summoned past Of some you’ve thought and some you cast And some you’ve left behind to do That never reached the state of new In the meanings of the words Flies the homing of the birds Brings the moth onto the flame Shows the aim and art of frame It is your goal upon the sea It is your soul that you would key. |

That is really beautiful. The rhythm is terrific and the rhyme is very pleasing to the ear. This one would be great to hear read out loud. Good Job! I believe the most important component of a poem is rhythm. Rhythm is the heartbeat of a poem. It is what makes poetry poetry. |
