My eyes swim In the water of lost hope My skin no longer feels Warmth from your hand Just falseness I hear their voices Telling me I look to you Not understanding Why? I let you know My fears You didn’t give me the choice To choose for myself I know the truth I feel it in the lack I want my solitude back "cast me gently into the morning, for the night has been unkind" |

Susan -- Know what you mean, whether it is significant other or children or whatever -- I didn't have choices for so long and now that I have them, I fight tooth and nail to keep them -- especially, when it comes to having solitude. But then again, I appreciate the fact I'm not alone (if that makes any sense???)! Enjoyed the poem and your perspective.  ....jo |

"I want my solitude back" ~ For me, harmony comes from balancing my time as a social butterfly with my self-imposed time of solitude. It is so important to take that time out for ourself. imagine if those people who make you feel like being alone, independent, solitary, knew that they did! I sometimes think about that. I think that feeling can sometimes be more powerful and calming than any other i've known. missed you susan. xxx |
