walking the surreal

Together, today
You and I
Sitting a talking
As time slips by

You laugh, I smile
You pause in thought
I watch and wonder
My attention caught

Such a simple thing
This precious time
Held in a moment’s breath
Caught within the sublime

Such a fragile gift
This gentle pleasure
Of our simply being
You and I together

But time moves along
And our paths soon depart
Leaving only brief remembrance
Of our meeting hearts

Then I’ll count the seconds
That drag as years
Until again time passes
And you reappear

For when our paths cross
As they are often wont to do
I’ll tarry in that moment
My precious time with you

S.A.T.

The whole of the Universe resides within each individual heart.

Thank you for your kind comments.  If only we could choose how fast time passes, to be able to linger in a moment a bit longer . . .

Absolutely beautiful creation of your heart.

Such a fragile gift
This gentle pleasure
Of our simply being
You and I together

Yes, in simply BEING there is such bliss!

You know Susan, sometimes when we say goodbye to a friend, it may be decades before we say hello again.

I'm convinced that time really does vary, and sometimes those seconds....won't....tick....by. You are all too right with this one.
