The flowers' scent and the soul

We dwell here,
rooted
in the Earth,
yearning
for Heaven,
held back
like flowers
in the firm embrace
of the soil,
unable to move
from the assigned spot.

Flowers reach
for the sun
and beyond,
by releasing
their scent.
And similarly,
we penetrate
sacred heights
only with our soul,
ethereal
and free
to soar
through infinity,
free to explore
the final destiny.
