walking the surreal

You speak to me
With your silver tongue
Gilded words slipping
From your parted lips

The sound of your voice
Weaves enchantment about me
Transforming my soul
To a glistening pool

The echo of your dulcet tones
Ring as a symphony
Shattering the very heart of me
Into splinters of desire

Whisper to me of your inner fire
Your worded embers branding me
As your spoken flame consumes me
Into your lover's pyre

I am but ashes beneath your touch.
