Beat with your rattle
Bash me with your cane
Stab me with wit
I’m almost driven insane
Spread me on the “Rock of Ages”
Crash me with a stoning
Leave me so battered,
Mumbling and moaning
Listen to baby prattle
Twelve two year olds
Till I’m spasmodic
Then toss me to the summer’s cold
To run in mindless rages
Vacillating through emotion
That doesn’t really matter
Repeating conversation
Repeating conversation
Repeating
Repeating
Repeat

Gee, Cleft is different...  I liked this--it does sound like someone had nursery duty and "may have" survived it, or scribed this with fingernails on the walls.  I chuckle as I've been there!!!   Enjoyed the intensity and format.

Gloom

I taught preschool for 30 years...this sounds very familiar.  Well done feel of desperation here.

I read this again and got an entirely different meaning!  If I read it right, there is a lot more than meets the eye.  Either way, the activity in this one creates terrific imagery and intensity. Different for you. I liked.
