The trees
can only sigh;

some days,

upon receipt of
these endless wishes,
doubts and longings
i pin on thier
overburdened shoulders,

is it mere coincidence
as i project
thru windowed eyes,
that they seem to take flight,
just at the right time, breaking
the chains of selfabsorption
that press upon me,

as they offer
merely a moment
outside of myself,
leaving me
to sit mesmerized,
upon inhalation of
their collective sigh.

Is it your soft sigh,
or the wind in the leaves?
If only for the moment-
this reverie is broken
sweet respite from these longings.

Very beautiful moment of reality here -- a place I'd like to be for a moment, too!
