A Cliched Life? salt, no matter how ordinary, seasons (after seeing Magnus’ title “ABottle Cast upon the Sea,” I was inspired to write the following. Now I will go read his piece.) a bottle tossed into the foam may be trite at its best but put to the test could there be anything more poetic than the bobbing- aimlessly- “going with the flow” to and fro, letting the tide lift and carry it to its destiny one thing certain a container that retains its cork, its air, its breath of life, will not capsize in the roughest of seas may You always be my Cork for me endlessly ©May 15, 2004 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

"a container that retains its cork, its air, its breath of life, will not capsize in the roughest of seas may You always be my Cork for me endlessly" what a lovely and original thought |

This was posted before my "Born-On Date" so I missed it but now have caught up with it. It is a great poem with a very real, very profound message. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope others read it. In my mind there are layers in this short poem one that comes out most of all is a message of hope. A message of riding out the most wicked storms. Rolling with the rise and fall of troubled, or tranuil seas. Thank you for the posting it. Kevin |
