~* Wishing *~

I’m wishing for my wish to come true,
As I hold gaze of moon and star just now.
I’m wishing to become all these things,
If there were only a way, somehow.

I’m wishing to become the morning sun,
Waking you with a kiss each day.
I’m wishing to be the midnight moon
There to mark your steps along the way.

I’m wishing to become a gentle wind
Softly caressing you with every touch.
I’m wishing to be your favorite color,
That color you love so much.

If I could become waves in the ocean
My tides could wash away the blue of you.
I could become the brightest star above
I'd make your every wish come true.

If I could have but one simple wish
Then here is what it would be;
That I could bind your heart to mine
For now, and through all eternity.

Today I'm only moving clouds, tomorrow I'll try mountains.

I actually wrote this for the romantic, optimistic dreamers out there, but thank you. I have had a lot of wishes come true and have learned to be careful what I now wish for

What a tender sweet melodic piece, Sharon. Loved the stanza above. Just beautiful. If I had a wish ...

I'd wish .... that you'd write more often.
