Spring I understand the urgency of Spring, Though I plodded stupidly, unseeing, Past the pain of earth’s hard birthing. Until today. April agonized and wept, And fetal, sleeping things no longer slept, Yawning, stretching nature can’t be kept, From seeking May. |
