The Weight of Echoes Birds of echoes flying west Filled my mind a pregnant nest And I am thatched with food for thought But cannot hatch what echoes brought They filigree a Christmas tree To large for me to fully see And I am lost in awe of light With stars that dazzle me their sight I cannot fit the total rhyme Into the given set of time Nor can I fit the total goal Into my small pathetic soul I wonder in the echoes fall Send some back from whence they call The rest I study for rapport To catch the echoes evermore But echoes bounce around the bend And never seem to really end |

But echoes bounce around the bend And never seem to really end Hmm, no they don't do they, sometimes I really wish they would. A wonderful write Seymour, loved the rhyme and flow. Maree Beauty of the world which is soon to perish has two edges, one of laughter and one of anguish, cutting the heart asunder. |

Sometimes the weight of echos can be much heavier than the sound from wence they came |

Dear Seymour, I would rename your poem, because instead of a weight, the echoes you captured touch our hearts with the softness of a feather .... This is absolutely delightful. You overflow with beauty. Love and hugs. Margherita |

And I am thatched with food for thought But cannot hatch what echoes brought ~~~~ I cannot fit the total rhyme Into the given set of time Nor can I fit the total goal Into my small pathetic soul ===================================== SO--youre writing fiction now??? Birds of echoes flying west Filled my mind a pregnant nest ~~~~~ They filigree a Christmas tree To large for me to fully see And I am lost in awe of light With stars that dazzle me their sight ya write lines like that and then say you cant make the rhyme fit, cant hatch the thought??? OH me thinks you do just fine Sy-babers...me thinks even your echos have cadence. *ww* ... and it's you ... you ... you ... you ... the light changes when you're in the room. M.B. |

To borrow one of Sunshine's phrases (with apologies but could not resist the temptation) -- Seymour, "eggsactly" (with the caveat that I do not believe you have a pathetic soul for one moment)! ...jo |

Oh, my goodness! You most definitely do not have a "small pathetic soul", Dear Apollo! You radiate the sun in galactic proportions and your words are of such import that they echo forevermore throughout the Universe! Loves 'n hugs, EA |
