iliana, Thanks for taking the time to try to understand it. Yes, I did play on my name, but that's not the major riddle. Cathy |

Invisible forces Forces are always invisible in physics Taking portions you cut, I’ll pick Sawing with dull forks. are we all out of butter knives again “Leave some for me” she said as she hung by gristle thread. ) ( for c )mathematically speaking they should be facing the other way( If you wish to contain something perhaps you don’t wish to contain? (if only she could!)who says she can't? Gloom |

passing shadows, Not at all clueless- I just wasn't as clever as I thought! I sent you an e-mail on this one. Thanks for giving it a whirl. Sadie Good try, Professor. Interesting analysis, but I don't know that you've got it for sure. Maybe. Don't think so. You'll have to clarify. Seymour, I'm not very good at puzzles either, but I enjoy them. I'm glad you enjoyed... Sadie |

Sadie, this is mysterious, but those “invisible forces taking portions” have an incredible effect on the reader, like a great moment of suspense in a movie, like a labyrinth lacking some of its parts, so that the way out can’t be found anymore ……”sawing” makes me shudder…. Beautiful Daughter of Mystery, I send you my love. Margherita ![]() |

mind if I take a shot? Invisible forces Taking portions Sawing with dull forks. “Leave some for me” she said as she hung by gristle thread. ) ( for c (if only she could!) Newton called the Invisible forces around us Gravity...which takes it's portions on our bodies, little by little with time as we age. She's saying...leave some for me...hanging by a thread of fat...but good ol gravity waits for no one... Foresee....perceive...if only we could...this could apply metaphorically to a lot of issues?????? |

TD, As you chew, I hope you find some meat in it. I was pretty worn when I wrote it. I haven't seen as much of your writing in the last few days or week. I love reading it. I hope all is well. Sadie Margherita, Your comments flatter me. As you could tell, I was upset when I began to write it. After I turned my thinking around and made it into a riddle, some of my frustration began to resolve itself in the play. (Originally, it wasn't intended to be a mystery or a riddle. I just wanted to repeat the beginning phrase at the end when I noticed the spelling of "force" and thought it would lend itself to a riddle about foresight. I enjoy experimenting with spelling. OUr rules and exceptions to spelling are a mystery in themselves!) |

Lee, Good old Isaac. One of my favorites. Your interpretation was very, very interesting! I loved it, however, I was going somewhere else with it. You NAILED the riddle, though. I'm glad you responded! Sadie Earth Angel, I understand the thing about puzzles. I can't figure my way around a city block! Honestly, sometimes! I grinned as I read your response. Sadie |

MGroves, Thanks for reading and responding. I always look forward to hearing your thoughts. Sadie Opeth, I'll confess, too! Often, my base of understanding poetry is limited, and I have to read responses to fill me in. I learn a lot that way. Thank you for taking the time to comment. It's always a pleasure to hear from you. sadie |
