Thunder catapults across the sky flashes of orange bomboard them all, screams of terror rise above the madness as they all begin to flee for safety. This was our plan, wasn't it? to destroy the evils on earth but looking into their innocent eyes, I wonder, who the real monsters are here. Sirens whail from every direction the towns in a state of panic and yet we are called heroes, even if we are sent here to kill. The guns in my hand, my hands trembling, I take aim this is our mission, wasn't it? Didn't you want us to take away it all? Tell me where is your compassion tell me again to fight for my country, when all around me bodies fall to the ground their hands placed over their hearts. Children crying, clasping their parents hands not able to turn their heads away they don't know any other lifestyle and yet, this is what you wanted, isn't it? Peace on earth will never happen until you, Mr. President, stop justifying murder in the name of "freedom". |
