Have I been swindled by an ambition? Smiling insipidly, over zealous baby’s breath Foaming at the mouth Where have I been? What do I know? Piercing my eyes with brackish oceans Silly me, yesterday’s perfume, dripped it’s poison I waved an excited hello to destiny Warmth lusts for man in poetic forms Man lusts for life in the only way he can Gracing anyone’s mantelpiece Fortune troves translated in English Stockpiled by wolves of position, a Godly kind With wings…and halos, their offspring Unannounced scenes follow landscapes Like poverty has followed me, Ode to a collection of entertaining stories That ran with me, playing hide and seek Like an earth Goddess protecting me Woe to the reviews that would entertain their moods One of the liveliest sagas of passion and truth From whence all handmaidens suffer events recorded It is the way of the heart, that speaks importance Woman’s suffrage headed toward some lonesome lonesome avenue With freeze dried beef and a flash light I really wish the child of man would find something nice to say The older I grow, the less intolerant I become But….then, to, the beat goes on… |
