Sorrow enters in tonight, ...no knock upon my door, She stands beside me at my bed, ...the same as nights before. She stands alone with face disguised, ...in shroud of night’s befall, Not reaching out yet of her touch, ...I feel with numbing pall. Rent by storms of earthly pain, ...with wounds as yet unhealed, I scream aloud show me thy face, ...to sorrow unrevealed. No answer comes from forth her being, ...she moves not from my side, Standing there in silent watch, ...my pleas by her denied She binds me tight I cannot move, ...I feel of sorrow’s bite, As there she stands beyond my reach, ...O’ God, I fear the night. |

The elusive, dark unknown... you've captured it very well, Sir. |

This is a great write and I can relate to it. The deep melancholy, the unmet yearnings ... Love, Margherita |
