My friend is always there
In him I always can confide
I can share my deepest feelings
With him I don't need to hide

My friend lends me a shoulder
Upon which I can cry
He is never quick to judge me
He has taught me how to fly

My friend has faith in me
He always listens to what I say
He is my source of inspiration
He shines the light that shows the way

My friend provides stability
He is warm, sincere and kind
I feel so comfortable around him
And I can say what's on my mind

My friend gives me direction
He is my north, south, east and west
He believes in who I am
And helps bring out my very best

I'm so much richer for his friendship
It is something I'll always treasure
It cannot be compared
And is quite simply beyond measure
